Sunseeker London luxury event raises over 8,000 GBP for the Haven House Children's Hospice
Sunseeker London raised over £8,000 for The Haven House Children's Hospice at a luxury Christmas event which took place at the Sub Zero Wolf new London showroom last week. The glamorous festive event was held in association with luxury car specialist HR Owen, Sub Zero Wolf and Sunseeker Yachts who exhibited a fleet of the very best of their high performance sports cars and an XS 2000 Challenger racing boat outside the showroom at 251 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge.
Guests enjoyed mulled wine, Taittinger champagne and Christmas canapés whilst getting into the festive spirit with carols sung by a local gospel choir. An expert butchery demonstration was given by Broad Stripe Butchers, who supply top-quality, gourmet meat to some of the UK’s best chefs and restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay and the Mandarin Oriental amongst others. Broad Stripe were followed by award winning celebrity chef, Antony Worrall Thompson and his wife Jay, who created an array of tempting dishes including peppered steak, beef stroganoff and festive mincemeat pavlova for guests to savour.
Over £8,000 was raised in the grand auction for Haven House Foundation, a children's hospice which cares for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 19 who have life-limiting conditions in Central and North East London and West Essex. They provide support for families, day, short break and end of life care, together with therapeutic play in the community. Popular auction lots included a bespoke dinner for four people by Professional MasterChef 2009 finalist Marianne Lumb, a cookery course and overnight stay at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons and a Chelsea FC shirt signed by Frank Lampard.
